June 13, 2016

There are a wide variety of spectacular places in Quebec where it feels good to go for a walk, breathe the fresh air and enjoy nature. We are surrounded by mountains with fascinating views, by trails that have never been trod and by landscapes of great natural beauty. We have to make the best of it! Here are three of the most beautiful destinations to plan a hiking trip in Quebec this summer:

L’Acropole des Draveurs, Charlevoix

Located right in the heart of the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, this short trail offers you one of the most stunning views far and wide. You might have a hard time climbing up, but you will be quickly rewarded with the Arctic flora waiting for you at the summit.

Les Loups, Québec

Just a few minutes from the city of Québec, in Jacques-Cartier National Park, Les Loups (“The Wolves”) is a must-hike in Québec. Although rated as difficult, you will stand there open-mouthed in front of this magnificent panorama offered by its glacial valley.

Mont Albert, Gaspésie

Long and steep, this trail is one of those rare places where you’re allowed to hike through mountain caribou habitat and observe the last herd of woodland caribou. The alpine tundra and the orange-coloured rocks lining this unique park will make your experience an unforgettable one.
